Tough for Sunny to sanitise porn star image: Mahesh

Veteran Bollywood filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt was successful in striking an emotional chord with American adult film actress Sunny Leone, who is currently an inmate in the `Bigg Boss 5` house.

Bhatt had approached the porn star to introduce himself as a filmmaker who was interested in casting her in his film `Jism 2`. The story of the film revolves round the life of a woman who fights all odds to live life and that supposedly is in sync with Sunny’s real life experiences.

So Mahesh was keen to have her on board, for he believed she would be able to do justice to the character more than anyone else.

Talking to a daily, Bhatt said, "In the five and a half hours I spent with Sunny, I got to know about her sincere demeanour. Sunny listens with entire being. When we met in the confession room there was a slight discomfort which ebbed away as we got talking and grew familiar with each other. During the conversation, I was observing her emotions. She cried when I touched her head.”




It was also quite easy for the veteran to convince her to work in his film.

“I discussed it with her and she was fine with it. I even told her it may be easy to shed clothes but it is difficult to show one`s scars,” Bhatt added.

However, Bhatt feels that it wouldn’t be easy for Sunny to sanitise her porn star image and make it to the A-listers` league in the Hindi film industry.

“She will have to deal with her albatross of her own past. In this age, when her pornographic images are available on the internet, she will have to delink herself from that and that will be difficult. But she doesn`t want to do that. She is perfect for `Jism 2`. If the movie becomes a success and she charms her way into the heart of people, what kind of journey she will take is anyone`s guess,” the filmmaker added.
