Why Kristen Stewart’s ‘thrusting’ ‘Breaking Dawn’ sex scene was ‘reshot’

‘Breaking Dawn’ director, Bill Condon has revealed that he had to remove the steamy sex scenes, as the MPAA guidelines didn’t allow thrusting intercourse in the movie.

Earlier, ‘Twilight’ actress Kristen Stewart had also admitted that shooting the sex scene for ‘Breaking Dawn – Part 1’ with Robert Pattinson didn’t feel like “a scene within a Twilight film”.

“[There are MPAA] guidelines on thrusting intercourse, [Kristen] got very into it.” People.com quoted Condon as telling Celebuzz.

Not only is the Twilight series teen-intended, but the scene itself, “was so much more about romance than it was about hot-and-heavy action,” Condon told MTV.com.

So, taking out the part that would give it an ‘R’ rating “was a very kind of simple adjustment to make,” the director said.
