‘Murder 2’ is a worthy sequel!

A big franchise in Hollywood, the sequel fever is fast catching up in B-Town it seems. This time around, it’s ‘Murder 2,’ a sequel to hot and sizzling ‘Murder’ (2004).

Directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Mukesh Bhatt, ‘Murder 2’ is an erotic thriller which stars Emraan Hashmi, Jacqueline Fernandez, Prashant Narayan, Sudhanshu Pandey and Sulagna Panigrahi.

‘Murder 2’ is set in the picturesque Goa, which comes alive with its exotic beaches, hot tourist spots and gregarious air. However, despite all joy, there is someone who is hell bent on making someone’s life miserable – a serial killer is on prowl.

‘Murder 2’ focuses on the relationship of an ex-cop Arjun (Emraan) and his model girlfriend Priya (Jacqueline). Arjun is an atheist, who works with small time crooks to make his ends meet. During one of his assignments, he comes across Sameer, a notorious gangster, who is suffering heavy losses due to disappearance of his hookers. In order to catch the perpetrator, Arjun comes across a cell number which is common in the case of missing girls – the number of Dheeraj (Prashant Narayan).

Here comes Reshma (Sulagna Panigrahi) - a college student, who takes up prostitution in order to support her family. However, things take unexpected turn when both Dheeraj and Arjun land up in jail. While Dheeraj confesses, Arjun is entrusted with the task of finding the proof against Dheeraj and locating the missing girl Reshma.

In terms of storyline and presentation, ‘Murder 2’ boasts of a fresh story, great plot and new star cast. Even as there is no ‘Bheege Honth Tere,’ the film boasts of some great sound track, especially ‘Haal E Dil’ and ‘Aa Zara.’ And yes, the gruesome killer tops the thrill factor.

A word on performance, Emraan and Prashant are in the top form. Jacuqline looks super hot and sexy and Sulagna Panigrahi looks very much convicting and in sync with her character.

In totality, ‘Murder 2’ is one bold and sexy crime thriller.
